Academic Programs Committee | |
The Academic Programs Committee works with our local universities and colleges to promote CSI and to create a better understanding and promote greater participation of students in our chapter. The Academic Programs Committee also plans and distributes scholarships to local students who have shown outstanding achievement in their construction related major. This committee also encourages university and technical institute administrators to offer courses in construction communications as part of their curriculum and credit extension programs. | |

Administrative Committee | |
This Committee conducts short term and long term planning for the chapter as well as researches and reports on administrative actions as they occur. This Committee also reviews and revises the chapter by-laws as required and takes care of legal issues. | |
Awards Committee | |
The Awards Committee recognizes notable contributions, outstanding achievements, and service to the chapter and construction industry and may also recognize contributions to the chapter that have far-reaching effects outside that chapter. This committee identifies those individuals and along with the President of the chapter selects award winners. This committee assembles the awards and presents them at the annual awards cruise. This committee also identifies and submits for Region and Institute awards applicable to the chapter or a chapter member. | |
Certification Committee | |
The Certification Committee implements and administers the Institute’s Certification Programs. They publicize the testing program and conduct classes for preparation in taking the exams. The Certification Committee coordinates local candidates and assists them with preparing for the exam. The committee also promotes the value of CSI certification to the Construction community. | |

Education/Technical Committee | |
The Education/Technical Committee develops, implements, and administers the Chapter’s education and technical programs. The committee identifies and develops education opportunities for the chapter and conducts seminars with topical information valuable to the construction industry. The committee can also conduct Institute webinars at the local level. They also coordinate the recording of continuing education credits for the monthly program and special education events and the accreditation of various programs with AIA’s continuing education program. The Committee also develops technical activities, documents, and programs pertinent to the Cincinnati area, and reviews and comments on technical activities of the Institute as directed by the Institute or Region Technical Committees. | |

Educon Committee | |
The Educon Committee plans and produces the annual education and product expo event (typically in November). Responsibilities include coordinating with venue, contacting and selling tabletops, securing seminars and speakers, promoting the event, developing and printing promotional materials, collecting fees, and event set up. | |

Golf Outing Committee | |
The Golf Outing Committee plans and produces the annual Golf Outing in the fall. Responsibilities include securing a course, coordinating with golf course, selling sponsorships, promoting the outing, developing and printing flyers, posters, and tickets, and collecting fees. | |
Membership Committee | |
The Membership Committee develops detailed action plans and strategies to promote participation by chapter members. They maintain Chapter membership lists, contact non-renewed members, develop lists of perspective members and contact them to join, promote member accomplishments, and recognize members at monthly meeting. This committee also conducts new member orientation meetings 4 times per year to familiarize new members with CSI. This committee also conducts reception at each of the programs and events. | |

Program Committee | |
The Program Committee develops, implements, and sets up the programs for the chapter’s monthly meeting. Programs are identified and speakers are booked. Programs are typically set up one year in advance. The committee is also responsible for providing promotional material for advertising the monthly program. This committee also makes arrangements for the standard meeting venue and for special events. | |
Publications Committee | |
The Publications Committee develops and implements all publications in the chapter and handles any publicity that is needed. The committee maintains and update the chapter website and develops and distributes hard copy publications as required. They also work with the other committees to publicize their events. This committee also sends out notifications for each event, maintains e-mail and mailing lists, and sends newsworthy items to publications outside the chapter. | |
