Preparing Effective Contract Documents for Pre-fabricated Construction

The strategy of employing pre-fabricated elements in construction, in order to enhance both quality control and performance to schedule, is rapidly gaining popularity. This program introduces participants to the potential challenges of properly specifying pre-fab elements within the context of traditional project delivery methods. Using the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital project as a case study, further discussion will include: tips for coordinating the unique requirements of pre-fab construction with traditional contract documentation, as well as ensuring that both quality assurance and quality control guidance are provided by the project specifications.
